first day of school is tuesday. *DDs first day of school is the same day. i feel blessed that she will now be able to come to school with me, different class of course, and expand her horizons. today was her last day at the sitter who she has been with since she was 8 weeks old. that was bittersweet. had to walk away before the waterworks began.
love the new group i have coming in. the levels of ability vary, but most classes do. wouldnt that be just so easy if they were all on the same level. BORING. here are some of the things they have said to brighten my day and induce an all out LOL moment or two:
"my tongue is hot."
why do you think that is?
"its been in my mouth for awhile."

"when i grow up i want to be a mom like you....well actually im going to try and avoid that so i dont have to change diapers."

well, when you get older they have another name for it. they call you an....
"man scout?"
*so i had to figure out what DD meant in blog lingo because i did not want to use my daughters real name. DARLING DAUGHTER? really?! what are we in the 1950's? my little curly, haired ginger would be better described as fiery, busy, with a beautiful ham of a personality. i dont know if i will be able to continue using DD to describe my daughter. its not a good fit for my little love.
